Downtown Brunswick Maine

Brunswick's Maine Street manages to provide a good mix of restaurants and retail to meet the needs of locals/college students and visitors. Spend a few hours strolling through the town. You won't find the typical national chain stores here - and it is fun to see the electric mix of Maine-based goods in the shops. Be sure to visit The Gelato Fiasco and Wild Oats. At the far end of the street right before the bridge is a repurposed building with a vey good restaurant called Frontier and a movie theater. There is also a grocery store and a Rite Aid if you need to pick up things, and a well-stocked organic food shop as well.
